Committee Opinion: Opioid Use and Opioid Use Disorder in Pregnancy

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and American Society of Addiction Medicine, 2017

Joint opinion on the current standard of care for pregnant women with opioid dependence. The standard includes referrals for opioid-assisted therapy with methadone. The authors also discuss emerging evidence suggesting that buprenorphine should be considered.
