Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 2019
Founded in 2011, SAMHSA's Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) and Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) co-managed Bringing Recovery Supports to Scale Technical Assistance Center Strategy (BRSS TACS). It advanced effective recovery supports and services for people with mental or substance use disorders and their families and helped programs, systems, states, territories, and tribes as they implemented effective recovery supports and services for individuals of all ages and diverse populations with mental or substance use disorders. The work of BRSS TACS was enriched by the lived experiences of people in recovery, who played key roles in BRSS TACS project leadership, development, and implementation.
